Silvia Holcroft (Director)
Silvia Holcroft is a Director of QPS Benchmarking, and is responsible for the overall direction and development of the QPS Benchmarking program. Silvia has particular expertise in the development of key performance indicator models, benchmarking, and quality systems. As a management consultant, Silvia played a key role in the development of the key performance indicator model for Disability Services in New South Wales. Silvia was nominated by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Family Services to develop the first National Indicators of Quality of Care and Health Outcomes.
As a senior consultant and awards evaluator for SAI Global's Business Excellence Program, Silvia has had the opportunity to evaluate and consult for organisations utilizing the Australian Business Excellence Framework for the past 14 years both in Australia and internationally.
With extensive experience in the health and aged care industry, Silvia has held a number of senior executive positions including the Chief Executive Officer/Director of Nursing for Acute, Aged and Community Care Services, National Quality Manager, MBF, Health Care Service Planner, IAHS and National Education Consultant for ACHS. As a member of the Steering Committee, Silvia worked with Price Waterhouse Urwick, engaging in intensive change processes and productivity reviews within the health care industry.
Qualifications include the following: Registered Nurse, Diploma of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science, Master of Business Administration (Hons), and Certificate IV in Organisational Self-Assessment.
Peter Johnson (Director)
Peter is a graduate of the Australian College of Health Service Executives' Health Administration Training Program and his career as a health and aged care executive administrator spans from 1978 to 1999. He has held numerous positions ranging from CEO of small to large rural hospitals and health related services to Director of Corporate Services for The Prince Henry, Prince of Wales, and Sydney Chidren's Teaching Hospitals in Sydney. In that time he has had experience in the management of a wide range of hospital services, from 'bush' to metropolitan teaching levels, community health, aboriginal health, aged care, rehabilitation and palliative care services. Peter draws on this wide range of experience to help and guide his benchmarking clients.
As a result of his work and interest in quality improvement he was appointed as a surveyor for the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards' accreditation program in 1992 and remains a current and active surveyor. He was also appointed an Aged Care Assessor in 2001.
Peter is an Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Executives and holds academic qualification in Arts and Health Administration. In 1986 he won a Rotary International Scholarship to study health outcomes at Manchester University in 1987-88, where he first developed a passion for the measurement of health outcomes and benchmarking.
Adam Holcroft (General Manager)
As General Manager of QPS Benchmarking, Adam Holcroft is responsible for overseeing Operations, IT, and R&D for QPS' Benchmarking systems. Adam is responsible for the Strategic Planning for QPS' benchmarking groups, combining QPS' vision for managed benchmarking services with feedback from customers and employees. In this role, he defines a roadmap of upcoming offerings and ensures the various development and delivery groups within QPS Benchmarking are working towards these common goals.
Adam joined the QPS Benchmarking team while the company was in its infancy in 2002. Adam was one of QPS Benchmarking's founding employees and his knowledge in Information Technology, Statistics and Marketing has seen him drive the company forward in its delivery of services and development of products.
The launch of Synergy was the culmination of over twelve months of hard work for Adam, which involved designing the initial software and website concepts, branding QPS' various services and products, running various testing methods and co-ordinating the "go live" launch.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Information & Communications Technology (Business Information Systems & E-Commerce) from the University of Wollongong.
