Financial Benchmarking for Residential Aged Care Providers

QPS Benchmarking collects and reports annual data on a range of financial indicators to enable providers to evaluate and improve their business performance. The data is reported at the end of Quarter 1 (July-September) so that there is enough time to complete the accounts for the 2010-11 financial year. Annual benchmarking is undertaken to ensure monthly and quarterly variations are taken into consideration and provide a level playing field for participants.

The financial data identifies critical indicators of performance including costs and income, whereby service providers are able to understand how they are performing against other similar providers.

A simple to use spreadsheet that enables results to be assigned to a standard set of headings is provided. The data is carefully data cleansed by a QPS Principal Consultant to ensure the results are correct.

Participating providers have the option of receiving a range of reports according to their needs. Individual facility reports as well as management reports are available where internal and external benchmarking results are provided.

Reports are provided within 3 weeks of receiving the data so that managers receive their results in a timely fashion.
